We pride ourselves on the friendly, family atmosphere we have created, where children can make new friendships and learn to work as part of a team within the safety of our beautiful dance studio and with the guidance of our expert teachers.
We develop confidence, co-ordination, fitness, flexibility, creativity and social skills through fun, music and dance, and we provide a comprehensive calendar of competitions and shows for those who wish to discover this side of the sport.

The Ipswich School of Dancing was established in 1948 and has trained many well known dancers including Strictly’s stars!.
We are a leading ISTD (Imperial Society of Teacher’s of Dancing) School and take part in their exam sessions, qualifier competitions and Grand Finals which are held each year at the famous Empress Ballroom at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
We perform in several shows each year including trips to Disneyland, London and Blackpool!
We also run our own national Competitions here in Ipswich twice annually and work alongside Inspire Suffolk to put on our own Strictly Charity event each year.
Above all at the Ipswich School of Dancing we pride ourselves on creating a friendly, family atmosphere where children can create new friendships and learn to work as part of a team within the safety of the dance school and with guidance from our teachers. We aim to develop their confidence, co-ordination and social skills through fun, music and dance. Once they are ready we can then guide them onto our competitions and shows calendar.
There are lots of social events for the children to get involved in including Christmas and Easter parties.
