The Ipswich School of Dancing are very proud to have been selected to perform at DisneyLand Paris!
After our fantastic performance at Her Majesty's Theatre in the West end, we are delighted to have been invited to perform at
Disney Land!
Ipswich School of Dancing took over the stage in the Videopolis Theatre in the French Disneyland on Saturday 18th February and received a standing ovation for their performance.
A total of 22 dancers between the ages of four and 24 dressed head-to-toe in silver sequins and wowed the crowd and their families who had travelled to admire the show.
We have had months of rehearsals, planning and excitement preparing for the show of a lifetime and we are already planning to return and perform again. The dancers were absolutely phenomenal, and I couldn't be more proud of them and the way they represented the school during this trip.
We presented all the dance styles the school offers, including ballroom, latin, contemporary, commercial and ballet genres.
The group also had the chance to explore the park, the rides and meet their favourite Disney charachters.
One of the dancers, Abbie, said: "I will be forever grateful for the opportunity Emma has created for us all. To be able to perform at Disneyland Paris was the most magical experience and a memory I will now always have. To have my best friend watching in the audience and for her to tell me she cried just shows how much it meant to everyone, and also: you’re never too old for Disney."
Brontë moved to Suffolk from West Yorkshire in July 2022. Since then ISD has been her second family, helping her make new friends, building her confidence and feeding her passion for dance, really enabling her to integrate in a new environment. She was delighted to have the opportunity to dance at Disney and I've never been so proud of her, nor seen her smile so much. All the dancers were fantastic and performed beautifully... a real testament to the hard work they and all the ISD staff put in. Emma and the team are brilliant and I can't wait to see how they take the school even further forward. - Jessica
On the train back last night Molly said that she "felt like she'd been part of something incredible, not just the dance, but the whole weekend. I just loved every minute, it was such a mad laugh and everyone was so lovely. "
I was bowled over by the performance, it reduced me to tears. I was also very impressed with how everyone was so proud to be an ISD ambassador.
LOVED IT LETS DO IT AGAIN!!!
