Jeanette Siddall CBE will be attending our Grand Re-Opening.

We are thrilled to announce that our good friend Jeanette Siddall CBE will be attending our Grand Re-Opening Ceremony.

We are truly honoured to share our special evening with this wonderful and inspirational lady of dance.

Over the years Jeanette has worked with many dance organisations. She was instrumental in the development and creation of the Centres for Advanced Dance Training and Youth Dance England. She wrote a module for the Royal Academy of Dance on politics, society and youth dance. At Dance UK she set up an alliance with the Association of Dance of the African Diaspora, enabling it to thrive and eventually become a National Portfolio Organisation in 2011. She has been a board member of the National Youth Dance Trust, Swindon Dance, Candoco Dance Company, Bonnie Bird Awards, Chair of the Foundation for Community Dance, and an Olivier Awards judge.

Jeanette was previously Director of Dance for Arts Council England and Director of Dance UK. She is Executive Consultant for Dance Consortium.

With an MA in Arts Policy and Management from City University and currently studying Social Sciences with the Open University, Jeanette wrote 21st Century Dance, Dance In and Beyond Schools for Youth Dance England, and co-edited ‘Managing Dance’.

Jeanette has been a dance judge for the Olivier and UK Theatre Awards, and in 2013 received the Dance UK Industry Award and a CBE for services to dance. In 2015 she became Chair of Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures and Re:Bourne.
